Meditation and Your Mat Series

Discover the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of a meditation practice. Learn how to unplug from the stress and fatigue that everyday life can present and come back to your true self through the calming and re-energizing practice of turning inward in meditation. Your instructor will give you the tools to begin your practice with ease and balance and guide you along the way. You will also incorporate a gentle yoga practice during the workshop to prepare your mind and body for a more inward focus.

Pre-Natal Yoga
INSPIREDmommies is led by Inspire Yoga owner, Bethaney Pilat :: E-RYT, MA-Education, BS-Elementary Education, BA-Communication. Bethaney practiced yoga throughout her pregnancy, labor and natural childbirth of her son in 2007. After experiencing a pain-free pregnancy, a quick and progressive labor, and a focused and natural birth, Bethaney now intelligently and playfully incorporates all the skills, tricks, and techniques available to expectant mothers into the classes she teaches to her students. She is trained in Prenatal and Postnatal yoga through Mamaste' Yoga by Karen Prior.

We currently have three class formats on our regular schedule that are pregnancy-appropriate (yin, renew & spark). Please contact the studio if you have questions about what is best for you.
Permission:
If you plan on attending yoga classes during your pregnancy, we encourage you to obtain permission from your physician/midwife prior to your first class. Please contact the studio (email/phone) to obtain our Physician/Midwife Release Form.
Asana {Anatomy - Alignment - Adjustments} with Bethaney Pilat, E-RYT
Yoga is a healing art. When understood entirely, performed appropriately for your body, and practiced with awareness the yoga asana are completely safe, beneficial, and transformational. Inspire Yoga's exclusive Asana workshops will help you to improve your practice from the inside, out.
In each of these 2.5 hour workshops, you will learn: Anatomy: The skeletal and muscular anatomy of the area of focus as well as contraindications of the selected postures. Alignment: Proper alignment of the selected postures and appropriate variations as well as common mistakes and injuries that you can prevent through intelligent movement. Adjustments: Minor and major adjustments – including props used to enhance the posture - and keeping your body safe through any style of yoga practice.

Yoga Nidra {the Art of Restful Intention}

Inspire Yoga brings you Yoga Nidra, a deep meditation that will take you through the deepest layers of your awareness to utmost stillness and insight.
Join Leila for this 2-hour practice of conscious yogic sleep, a meditative and restorative experience that allows you to transcend the body and its senses so that you may place intentions – or sankalpa - at the innermost level of your being.
We'll set the stage with gentle movement and breathing exercises to cultivate and move prana through the body, then find restorative refuge in the guided narrative of nidra. The calm energy and clarity you find in this practice will stay with you long after you roll up your mat! Suitable – and highly encouraged – for all.

The EDGE
with DeAnna Chiovera, RYT
The Edge experience will challenge you physically through a 2 hour empowering asana practice and mentally through a 30-minute excavation session of journaling. You will come face to face with the obstacles in your life and create new ways to move beyond them. We will end with 30 minutes of deep stretches and meditation. You will need a mat, water bottle, snack (optional), journal or paper, and pen.
